Sometimes Simple Is Just as Good or Even Better!

It’s not always true that meals comprised of many complex ingredients requiring difficult preparation are better than those with few ingredients that are fast and simple to cook. A perfect example of such a dish is Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe, which literally translates to pasta with cheese and pepper.

This traditionally peasant dish takes “al dente” prepared spaghetti (or other long pasta such as bucatini) and tosses it with a sauce consisting of some of the pasta’s boiling liquid, black pepper, Pecorino Romano cheese and sometimes butter. If you’ve never tried this dish before you will be surprised how such simple ingredients and fast preparation create a deliciously satisfying bowl of pasta.

Similarly, Spaghetti Aglio e Olio (garlic and oil) can be prepared using just a few simple ingredients that most people already have in their pantry. So, next time you are looking for a delicious pasta dish try something simple and you’ll be happily surprised!
